Lamenting what we Love

Posted on 13 Mar 2022, Pastor: Rochelle Richards

In Luke’s Gospel we hear the story of Jesus lamenting over Jerusalem. He compares himself to a hen who longs to shelter her chicks under her wings. In this day and age, people would probably want Jesus to choose a more powerful symbol–an Eagle or Hawk. But Jesus chooses a bird of humility to remind us that our faith is humble and our strength is found in unexpected ways.

Today’s message is based on Luke 13:31-35.
