What does the Bible say about Prophecy? When we read the prophets, we understand that their calling is fraught with danger as they often spoke words that offended people and upset the powerful. What the Bible tells us, is that authentic prophets don’t merely agree with our ideologies or politics. Authentic prophets challenge us to perspectives and life beyond what we know. As we read Isaiah’s words, we open our hearts in prayer to God, to help us see beyond ourselves…to help us live not just for ourselves. As we do this, we find new life and healing beyond what we could have imagined.
