We come to the conclusion of our journey through the Exodus story with the death of Moses. Moses climbs a hill where he is allowed to see the promised land he will not enter. We struggle with this text in our thoughts of fairness–it isn’t fair that Moses, who was so faithful and worked so hard, is not allowed to enter the Promised Land. But we are reminded that our work and life is a only a part of a greater whole and though we may not see the fruits of our labor in this lifetime, the labor is still holy and important.

Today’s message is based on Deuteronomy 34: 1-12.
