In the story of Jesus’ restoring the health of the Canaanite girl, we see the tenacious, humble love of a mother who sets her on a mission to find help for her child no matter what. Being a mother is not easy and we work toward a day when all women and children are treating with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. We give thanks for the dogged persistence of mothers who literally change the world.
