The Parable of the Good Samaritan is not just about someone doing a good deed, but the lesson (from Jesus) that the people we are conditioned to think we hate, are none other than our neighbors. To be a part of “the 10,000 acts of kindness” that vanquish evil in the world, we have to live the great commandment Jesus calls us to: Love God, Love neighbor as self.
