As the season of Lent begins as we prepare for Easter, we are reminded of Jesus’ words: “One does not live by bread alone.”

For those who have more than enough, the words signal a need to be empty, to remember and experience hunger.

For those who struggle to have enough, the words signal hope, that though the body is hungry, the spirit can be full.
