Psalm 42 is a song of lamentation that expresses a deep desire to belong. Deep calls to deep, and we all have a desire to belong, to be united with the God of our making.

With the events in Orlando fresh on our minds, we have to ask ourselves what we mean when we say God’s love is for all; that everyone belongs.
