On this final Sunday of our journey through Bread and Cup to Faith and Giving, we visit the familiar Words of Institution from Jesus’ last Passover as recorded in Matthew’s Gospel. Jesus harkens to the past and establishes new rituals for the present and future to always provide his followers with what they need for strength in the present moment and hope for the future. We gather at the table weekly to rest and remember these things.
