From Bread and Cup to Faith and Giving. We begin our Stewardship campaign and consider who is invited to the table of Jesus. Today’s story from the Gospel of Luke, shows a reversal of fortunes (a common theme in Luke’s Gospel) in which the least likely are welcomed. From this story, we consider our relationship to God in Christ and what God expects of us. We turn to God and give to God our heart…and in turn we are welcomed through the narrow way to table.
