On this fifth Sunday of Lent, we hear the words of the prophet Ezekiel and wonder with him “can these bones live?” In the face of really difficult circumstances, we have a hard time holding onto hope and believing that life and good things can be a reality. The words of Ezekiel remind us that God calls us to what is possible, not probable…and the valley of the dry bones reminds us that God is able to make good of even the bleakest of circumstances.
