God sometimes feels outside of ourselves and a thousand miles away. In contrast, we are reminded today that God’s Spirit abides within us–as close to us as our very breath. And when we encounter difficulties in life, it is okay to wonder if our prayers result in the receiving of bread or a stone. God is with us in our struggles, in our questions and in our praise.
