Blame, Shame and where we go from here

Unresolved trauma perpetuates more trauma. The trauma of betrayal and the cross were most assuredly a part of Peter’s words of blame and shame of the Israelites. We must read texts like these fully aware of the trauma and antisemitism they have borne into our world. We find healing in these moments of betrayal and trauma, ironically, in the cross. The cross represents the Kronos and Kairos time and presence of God in these difficult moments. We sit with that as we move through times of trauma and grief.

Today’s message is based on Acts 3:12-19.
