It is easy to feel tired in these days–tired of so much bad news, so much division, so much that is outside of our control. Today we hear the story of how wakefulness, even when tired, helped the disciples to see Jesus in a new way. As we move toward Lent, we consider what spiritual disciplines to take up (fasting, praying, acts of service) that might help us to remain awake and watchful for Christ even in these days of fatigue and unrest.
