On this Palm Sunday we join the crowds waving palm branches and hailing Jesus as our new King. And like the crowd, we are called, through John’s account, to realize that God’s power in Jesus is not what we expect or what or hope for. Jesus does not enter Jerusalem as a nationalistic, warrior King, but as a humble ruler, riding a donkey. We are reminded that our walk of faith is rooted in humility. May we walk through this Holy Week with humility and openness to what God is doing.
