Today’s Lectionary text gives us the full passage containing the well-known John 3:16. We take time to consider the first four words of that well-known passage “For God So Loved” and realize that God loves us long before we have any inclination of that love or desire to reciprocate or live into it. This love sustains us and calls the light of our deeds to be nothing more or less than love.
