Life is fragile. We often don’t think about that much as we rush around every day. Indeed it is usually not until we are stopped, by illness, job loss, the disintegration of a relationship or marriage, the death of a loved one, an unexpected catastrophic diagnosis, a pandemic, that we recognize and acknowledge how fragile our precious life is.

Ash Wednesday is a time to remember our fragility within the hope we have in a God who is always with us and always holds us.

Ash Wednesday also marks the beginning of Lent and the 40 days leading up to Easter. We will talk about practices you can adopt during this time to deepen your walk of faith.

We will have a simple marking of the Ashes service in the Sanctuary at noon and 6:30 on Ash Wednesday, February 14th. Everyone is welcome.
