We continue in the season of Easter as we hear the story of the walk to Emmaus from Luke’s Gospel. This first post-resurrection appearance of Jesus to two unknown disciples reminds us of Jesus’ words, “the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.” We continue to learn that Jesus’ love draws us to the periphery where we meet those otherwise invisible to us…and where we find Jesus revealed.
