We wrap up our Stewardship drive by focusing on Paul’s words to the church at Corinth in 2 Corinthians. Paul’s words are encouraging of the congregation to give, cheerfully, as they had made up their minds to do. The kind of generosity of Paul’s giving grows from a posture of surrender–surrendering all things to God. It is a posture of open-heartedness, open-handedness that allows us to give and to share as God calls us to do. May we always be aware of the things we hold and what holds us and may we always strive to surrender those things before God.
