The Israelite’s move from the miraculous, celebratory act of God saving the people from Pharaoh’s army at the Red Sea, to the desert where they would wander for 40 years. This turn of events seemed to take them far from God’s promise to bring them to a land they could call their own, a land flowing with milk and honey. Where is God when we, like the Israelite’s, feel tremendous disappointment in our life as it is as opposed to our life as we expect it should be? For the Israelite’s, God makes provision in the desert of seemingly unending wandering and want…and God promises to do the same for us.
Today’s message is based on Exodus 16:2-15.
