“Buried with Christ by baptism unto death…raised to walk in newness of life…” When our new life in Christ, sets us on edge with those closest to us, what are we to do? And can we find peace? These words from Paul in Romans, along with the difficult words of Matthew’s Gospel, remind us that our life of faith is never easy, but that with God at the heart of all things we are able to not just keep the peace, but to do the hard work of establishing peace.
