On this first Sunday of Lent, we remember the story of Jesus being led into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil. We consider today, what it means to be tested by God…what it means to be tempted by evil (or the tempter, satan or the devil as named in today’s story). And we ultimately discover that any test from any origin can only be passed or withstood by one who has done genuine and honest work in grounding themselves in the Christ as found in the Scriptures. Be a first rate in you in being yourself.
