When Jesus was on the cross, the veil, the wall around the Holy of Holies was torn apart, from top to bottom.   

God broke down the wall, but we keep erecting new ones. We seem constantly to be in the business of dividing ourselves: rich and middle class/poor, educated and blue color, black and white, citizen and resident alien, gay and straight, Democrat and Republican.  

And so I sit with the question, “where is that God?” And the answer comes back, “where are you?”
