November at SumnerFCC has been a time for remembering and for saying good-bye.

We began the month honoring our personal saints who have gone before us with a tree of remembrance.  The tree was created by the Wonderful Wednesday kids. Church members wrote names on monarch butterfly cutouts to pay tribute to those who have gone before us on this journey. It will remain on the sanctuary wall throughout the month.

And it was with mixed emotions that we said farewell to Mitch and Karen Becker, who have been with us for the past several years. Mitch has answered a call to serve as pastor of First Christian Church of Antelope Valley in Lancaster, CA. While all were happy that he found a church he was eager to serve, both he and Karen will be sorely missed and remembered fondly for their friendship and contributions to SumnerFCC.
