The message of the marketplace at Christmas time is to indulge without thinking—buy more, consume more, eat more. These things will make you merry.

Advent calls upon us to prepare in a more genuine way and this second Sunday of the season is about Peace, which can only be found through forgiveness. 

We pray for God’s power to help us do the sometimes hard and painful work of forgiving and asking for forgiveness, so that peace may reign in our own hearts.
