The message of today’s story and this season of Epiphany is that God comes close to us and isn’t afraid to be in the same room with us and our joys and our deep sorrows, our successes and our failures, our happiness and the seemingly bottomless pit of our grief, our independence and our moments and times of utter limitedness and dependence.
