When the news from the world seems all bad, filling our hearts and heads with the sensational messages from the 24-hour news cycle tends to not only make us unjustifiably angry and paranoid, but full of negativity and anxiety.

Worst of all, when we fill everything that we are with something other than God, we are destined to turn from God and from God’s will.
