Lenten Small Group

February 28, 2016 | 9:00 am

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 10th, and is the 40 days (excluding Sundays) leading up to Easter. Lent is a time when many Christians commit time to prayer, study, fasting (from foods or others things we enjoy in excess) and acts of service. The life of faith is never about one magical moment when we feel perfect and have all of the answers; rather, the life of faith is a life engaged in spiritual practice that, through time, changes and shapes us much the way running water changes and shapes hard stone over time. If you are looking for a way to engage more fully during Lent, we invite you to a small group study of the Lord’s Prayer. The group will meet in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. beginning on February 14th and will conclude meeting on Easter Sunday, March 27th. The group will be using the book The Lord’s Prayer: Jesus Teaches Us How to Pray  by Mary Lou Redding.
